Dish for Sweet & Semi-sweet

A passionate relationship is created between gruyere and wine. Especially when we refer to the excellent gruyere of Kasos and the wines of the Piperis Winery, then there is an explosion on our palate! The secret is hidden in the natural "drying" of the grapes under the Apollonian sun, resulting in their partial dehydration and wines that are really and absolutely sweet.

Sun-dried wines, however, retain both the concentrated aromas of grapes, acquiring great aromatic complexity and evolution with aging, as well as high acidity, since with "sun-drying", in addition to sugars and aromas, the natural acids of grapes are concentrated.

In this particular dish, you will taste the unsurpassed taste of Kasos gruyere and manouri, accompanied by juicy cherry tomatoes that we collect daily from our garden! Of course, an addition, which was deemed necessary, due to the excellent match with the sweet wines, although not Greek, is the blue cheese.

The perfect combination with cheese and sweet wines are of course the fruit jams, especially if we are talking about our own handmade grape jams.

This dish does not lack dried fruit, which can be found at any time of the year, so you can combine them with your favorite bottle of wine from the Piperis Winery, even if you are away from us!

The dish is completed with the Apollonian melekouni, the traditional sweet of Rhodes, which stands out for its wonderful taste and high nutritional value and breadsticks from the female agricultural cassociation "Oi Apolloniatisses".

Platter with aged gruyere, manouri, blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, breadsticks, grape jam, melekouni and dried fruit (fig, plum, apricot, raisins).
